Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive into Costa Rica and meet with your Tour Director who will help you check into your
hotel.
Day 2 Enjoy your city tour of San Jose, including sights such as the National Theater, the National
Museum, Central Park, the Justice Court and more. This evening, enjoy your welcome dinner
with your tour director.
Day 3 Head east to the Caribbean shore to the Tortuguero National Park. On the way you will
stop at the Banana Plantation. Then enjoy your cruise along the canals where you will spot
freshwater turtles, caymans, herons, toucans, monkeys and more.
Day 4 Enjoy a stroll through the nearby rain forest.
Day 5 Transfer to your boat for a ride to the Sarapiqui area. Along the way, you'll enjoy the
passing rain forest. Then check into your hotel in Sarapiqui to relax in time for dinner.
Day 6 Tour the Corsicana Pineapple Farm to learn more about the history, cultivation and industry
of pineapples. Continue through to the Tilajari Rain Forest Reserve and experience the Butterfly
Garden, see monkeys, birds, tropical frogs, and other small animals native to the reserve.
Day 7 Go horseback riding this morning, or stroll along shaded trails of the private 750-acre
tropical forest. Then this afternoon, take a walking tour of the town of La Fortuna de San Carlos
with beautiful views of the Arenal Volcano.
Day 8 Enjoy the La Paz Waterfall and Poas Volcano. Then stop at the Doka Plantation where
you will see firsthand the production process. Finally, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 9 Depart on your flight home.
