Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 & 2 Arrive into Paris and have time to relax or explore on your own before meeting with the rest of your traveling
companions for a welcome dinner.
Day 3 Sightseeing the French capital begins with the Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, Louvre, Notre Dame
Cathedral, and Champs-Elysees. Top the tour of Paris off with a panoramic view of the city from the second floor of the
Eiffel Tower. Afternoon at leisure to explore on your own.
Day 4 Enjoy a ride along the borders of Fountainbleau Forest as you make your way to the Swiss border. Take in the
vistas of the Swiss Alps as your arrive into Lucerne.
Day 5 Admire the Lion Monument and walk through the Old Town, then cross the Chapel Bridge to the Jesuit Church.
Have a little time to yourself to explore on your own or take an optional excursion to the top of the mountain. In the
afternoon, continue your drive to Como for your overnight stay.
Day 6 Pass through Italy's capital city of Milan and stop in Pisa to take pictures of the famous Leaning Tower. Then
overnight in Florence.
Day 7 Visit Michelangelo's David in the Academy of the Arts, then visit the Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's
"Gate of Paradise" and the Signoria Square. Then enjoy time to shop or explore further on your own before departing for
Rome in the early afternoon.
Day 8 Sightseeing in Rome includes a visit to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Square, and the Basilica.
Then cross the Tiber to visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Later, enjoy time for independent activities or take part
in optional excursions.
Day 9 Enjoy a morning break in Assisi, visit the Basilica of St. Francis, and then drive across the wooded Apennine
Mountains and lush plains of River Po to Venice.
Day 10 Enter Venice by private boat to meet your local guide. Highlights of your walking tour will include St. Mark's
Square, the Basilica, Doges' Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
Day 11 Leave Italy through Brenner Pass which leads through the barrier of the Tyrolean Alps to Austria. Stop in
Innbruck and enjoy a pleasant stroll through medieval lanes to Emporor Maximillian's Golden Roof. Then continue onto
Munich to visit the Olympic Stadium and Nymphenburg Palace.
Day 12 Drive through the Swabian Jura to the walled town of Rothenburg. Enjoy some free time before continuing to the
Rhineland.
Day 13 Take a romantic Rhine river cruise, then continue to Cologne and visit the Gothic Cathedral before continuing to
Amsterdam.
Day 14 Your local guide with take you on a canal cruise of Amsterdam, past patrician mansions, gabled facades and
humpback bridges. Then have time to visit a diamond center or one of Amsterdam's famous museums, followed by some
time to explore on your own.
Day 15 Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
